End of year performance
Annual Showcase
Our annual showcase is a ‘spectacular’ performance held at the West Gippsland Arts Centre and showcases the entire school for family and friends to enjoy. All students are invited and encouraged to participate in this highly anticipated highlight of the year.
Performance teams
As a school focused on performing arts, exciting performance opportunities are a vital part of a dancer’s journey. The opportunity to perform on stage is the pinnacle and celebration for the hard work and time spent in the studio. Local dance festivals are a great way for dancers of all ages to acquire the experience and skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Feedback is offered to assist the students to continue to strive for excellence and develop confidence. These events are generally the students most favourite times of the year with long lasting memories and friendships being formed. A high level of team spirit is expected from all team members
Solos/Privates lessons
Participating in solos is an excellent step for all aspiring young dancers. It provides a wonderful opportunity to further develop skills, technique, artistry, and confidence while working one on one in the studio with a teacher. A good working relationship is developed between student and teacher where technical and artistic enhancement can be achieved.
Solos are performed at local dance festivals several times a year, giving the student valuable stage experience. Students have the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from adjudication in a positive and supportive environment with their peers. Dancers generally enjoy their time on stage and celebrating their achievements with family and friends. Students from approximately 4 years of age can begin competing in solo competitions.
